The Tour de France is often seen as the toughest cycling race in the world, although in fact the track does not require more than two other national cycling races: Giro d’Italia (Italian Circuit) ) and Vuelta a España (The Spanish Circuit). It is true that the racers have made the race more difficult: it is here that people race faster, harder and more uncompromising than all other bicycle races.
The race started in 1967 with the part called the prologue (start), the individual racing part timed (about 5 to 10 km). In the next 20 races, after each stage usually has 1 to 2 days off, France is rotated clockwise or vice versa. After the doping scandal in 1998, the total length was reduced to about 3,500 km. The track and the locations for each stage change every year, only the Champs Élysées avenue in Paris, the place where the Tour de France ended in 1975 has not changed. Several high mountain passes are also included in the track almost every year.
